Age – It Creeps Up On Us

We all know we will age. It’s a truth that cannot be denied. Yet it’s one thing that we do our greatest to forget or deny with all our might.

Yet no matter what, the inevitable will happen. We will age. We will get older. We will change.

I thought it would be best to start out with some hard truth. No denial here.

Since the fact that we will all age and get older is something out of our control, the question becomes how will we handle that?

How will you handle that? How are you handling that right now? Today?

I know you know that I cannot hear you, but if you answered out loud, that’s great. It tells me that you are engaged in this post. And in that question.

How we handle this comes right down to so many other questions. It’s a choice. How will we choose to handle aging and getting older?

How we handle this progression changes over time. How we view the creeping of time as a 8 year old, or a 25 year old is vastly different than at age 83. Yet at each age we have a choice and we will choose. Even denial or inaction is a choice.

That’s not always a popular truth to hear. But it’s still true. Inaction is still a choice.

We can choose to acknowledge things will change and our lives will be affected. But still make the best decisions possible.

And wisdom would be to plan for that time. Ugh, that’s unpopular. Planning for the future. Well for most people it is anyway. But I know a few of you out there like it.

That really opens things up for discussion. Planning for the future includes so many aspects or parts of our life. But I will focus more on the health and wellness area.

I probably could just throw out a bunch of wisdom at you, but that wouldn’t be much fun.

So I will just throw out some thoughts and more questions.

How are you planning for when your body feels more aches and pains? This will eventually come we know. What can you do today to help this?

Our bodies are intricately made by our creator with so much to learn about it. Are you learning more and more about how it works and how it is all interconnected? I am continually amazed every time I learn something new, which I am not ashamed to admit, happens often.

There are some parts of our body that are really affected far down the road by the decisions that we make in our youth or early adulthood. What can you do today to improve your future health?

What things are you dealing with today that might get worse if not properly looked after now? Handle it while it is a small issue to avoid a bigger issue down the road.

I’m not really here to answer a lot of questions for you. My goal is to stir the pot and get you thinking more about some different things. Get your mind going. Even if it feels uncomfortable.

A little discomfort today might greatly improve your future. And I think that would be worth it don’t you?

Once again this comes down to a choice on your part. What choices will you make and what decisions will you take action on?

Your body and your health are too critical and crucial to deny the truth. Reach out and ask questions and learn more. For you and your family. You will be glad you did.

Well friend, I hope you are willing to start a journey of asking questions and making choices for your future. I will pray that if you are just starting that journey or if you are many years down the road in that journey, you will continue on. Continue seeking the truth, learning more and finding the right decisions for you.

We all will age and that’s the truth. But it doesn’t need to be a bad thing.
