Have you ever taken time for a reset? You might wonder what exactly does a reset mean? Well I think that is really something that means different things to different people, but I will make an attempt to clarify. Hopefully clear it up, a little bit at least.
I have gone through a recent reset, which I would describe as more unplanned than planned. Basically one of those situations where life happens and you need to roll with it, then find the point where you find your footing again and move forward and maybe even change direction. An unplanned reset.
Sometimes a planned reset is the ticket. The best way to make a decision to shake things up and make some changes you think are needed in your life, work or relationships. Or pivot in a completely new direction. Slow things down, then regroup and find the new path.
I really do think that no matter if your reset is planned or unplanned, it can be so positive. Maybe initially it won’t be viewed as so positive. Probably viewed as frustrating, or a lot work. Which is probably true sometimes.
This is all top of mind for me since, as you may have noticed, I have been absent from blogging and social media for a while. It was all very much unplanned. But unplanned or not, it’s been great for the break and a renewed start.
When life takes an unexpected turn and things get a bit rough, you probably will need to slow things down, cut things out, or focus on the most important things. Which will probably mean you don’t do things you normally do or have the ability to do everything you would like to. That can be tough.
So friend, I am back from my reset and ready to roll. I hope you will forgive my absence.
Can you relate with a reset? If you can, let me know, I would love to hear about it from you.

Well, I am wondering if I am too old for a reset currently but from previous experience, they can be very challenging but rewarding – to anyone reading this – it is worth the try!
