
Red light therapy. Right now it feels like a trend that’s really taking off. I’ve known about it for quite a while, but now it feels like I’m seeing it everywhere. Including those scary masks you might have noticed also.
Different kinds of light therapy have been around for years and years. Not just red.
If you don’t know what it is, just keep on reading because I am going to tell you a bit about it.
I decided that I would go ahead and try it for myself, and see how it goes. I do many great things for my health but for many reasons I have been searching for something that would add to what I am already doing and jump start my body for better results.
I did a lot of research about who was offering this service in the city, and looked into the different red light devices. I finally landed on the only location that offered a full bed option which would allow me to lay down using a high quality device. This would provide the fullest delivery of the light during each appointment.
The one I chose is a relatively new spa in Regina called PUR med spa. You can find their website here.

My first appointment was on January 19. And after 35 appointments and 8 weeks, I will share my assessment.
The reported benefits of the specific device used at this spa include the following:

All I can speak to are my results so far.

I know that red light therapy feels like just another new trend. Iām not here to debate that or to try to convince you of anything. You can make your own judgement.
Iām just here to introduce you to something that maybe you have never heard of or something you are well aware of, but have forgotten about.

Not everything is for everyone, so if I can help you find an answer for some health issue you have been frustrated with, and havenāt found the solution for, Iām glad.
I had a few specific concerns with some out of balance organs that needed some extra support and some things with my skin I just couldnāt improve and wanted to address.
At the beginning, after consulting with one of the owners I decided to follow her recommendation of going up to 5 days per week for 2 months.
After almost 4 weeks of 3 to 5 half hour sessions per week, I really began to see improvements. There were definite improvements in my skin issues. Enough improvement that there was no doubt. Even my face took on a new glow!
I knew if I was going to take this seriously I had to really commit. Iāve done the best I could.
And now after 2 months here are some of the results I’ve noticed.
I can definitely see an improvement in my face. It is more clear and just looks so much healthier. I have had numerous people point this out. I have also noticed new hair growth in my scalp. Including improvement in my grey hair (yes I can admit I have some). My sleep has also improved.
There have been some scars Iāve had for a very long time that have begun to disappear.
I had also pulled a muscle in my back one day after starting these sessions in January. I focused much of my time with the red light on this area and I was very impressed at how fast and how the healing progressed in my back.
I have noticed improvement in muscle tone and improvement in a few annoying aches in my joints.
After 2 months I am impressed and I plan to keep going for another month. After that I will reduce the amount of time I go and reduce the amount of time per session, but I definitely plan to keep doing this.
I have been very pleased with the results I have been seeing and am willing to keep going. Like so many important tools we implement in our lives for our health, this one is worth putting my time and effort into. In my opinion at least.
