Today – It’s A Big Day

So today is a very big day, at least for us Canadians.

One of the most consequential elections will be happening today.

Yes I know we can tend to quantify many other elections, at many other times this way, it’s true. I honestly believe this one matters so much more.

But participation in this process is a responsibility not to be taken lightly.

Not everyone has this ability around the world.

The ability to participate in voting and participating in the election process.

I know we can all get into the habit of complaining about what isn’t happening and what we consider to be going wrong with politics. For some it’s a time honoured past time.

I will easily admit I’ve done that, at least a time or two.

But I have always taken seriously what I consider my responsibility to vote and to take part in the electoral process. I encourage you to also take it seriously.

Even though today is election day, you still have a short opportunity to do any research you need to before making an informed decision. I will also strongly push you to not just vote the way you may have voted before.

Maybe this election is the time for you to make a different decision on who you choose. If you need to do some digging to make your choice please do that.

I think it’s safe to assume that you have lived long enough to have witnessed at least some of the results of previous voting choices, past elections. At some point it will all come home to roost, so this time why not make the best choice? The best, informed, thought through decision.

I will not tell you what choice to make, just that choosing and taking action is critical.

In basically every post I talk about the responsibility of choosing something for a very important reason. Being informed to make the best choices possible is applicable to so many situations.

If you have already voted in advanced polls, I pray you made the most of your opportunity to make an informed choice.

So friend as we Canadians head to the polls today, (for those who waited for the big day), I pray that your choice was a strong choice for the future of this great country that you and I call home. Our future depends on it!
